Acknowledgement of risk

Pickleball is a physical, athletic activity. Participating carries inherent risks — including slips, falls, collisions, strains, sprains, eye and other injuries, and, in rare cases, serious injury. Arranging games with people you meet through VolleyForge also involves meeting members of the public in person. You understand and voluntarily accept these risks.

You play at your own risk

You are responsible for evaluating your own health and fitness to play, for choosing whether to meet or play with any other user, for your own conduct, and for your personal safety and belongings. VolleyForge does not provide supervision, coaching, medical care, or security, and does not inspect or control any venue.

VolleyForge does not vet users

VolleyForge does not screen, vet, perform background checks on, or verify the identity or conduct of other users, and is not a party to any game or meetup. Any interaction with another user is at your own risk. See our Terms of Service for more.

Release & waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in exchange for being able to use VolleyForge, you release, waive, and agree not to sue VolleyForge and its operators for any injury, loss, or damage — to you or your property — arising out of or related to your participation in any game, your use of any venue, or your interactions with other users, whether caused by ordinary negligence or otherwise. You agree to be responsible for your own actions and to indemnify VolleyForge against claims arising from your conduct.

Age & capacity

You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to accept this waiver on your own behalf.

Safety reminders

  • Meet and play at public courts, ideally during daylight.
  • Tell a friend or family member where you are going and when.
  • Use in-app messaging first — you never have to share your phone number.
  • Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave, and block and report the user.
  • In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
